CMA-Intermodal solutions – Innovative solution by barge: Que Vo in Northern Vietnam

In addition to our barge network connecting Vung Tau to the world, CMA CGM is pleased to introduce a new and innovative barge service : Que Vo > Haiphong. This service connects key industrial zones in Northern Vietnam including Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Phu Tho and surrounding areas, to the U.S. market.

This new corridor provides a cost-effective solution, faster, and lower environmental impact ensuring seamless business flow from Northern Vietnam to major U.S. major ports and IPI . The barge service Que Vo service is integrated with our 3 core U.S. maritime services from Haiphong EXX the premium service, CBX and Pearl.

The barge service operates bi-weekly for both Export and Import, with a transit time of just 2 days.

By connecting Que Vo directly into global loops, the service removes one of the quiet bottlenecks that has long shaped Northern Vietnam’s inland-to-ocean flow. Whether this becomes a model for future corridors—Vietnam has no shortage of river access—may be the real story to watch.
